This key position is responsible for Confirming schedule appointments directly with customers in order to maximize the calls that can be accomplished by a field technician in a normal, eight-hour workday. The position reports to the Supervisor – Customer Operations. The Service Call Appointment Setter is accountable for insuring that all service calls are scheduled and confirmed within the Company’s contractual and policy parameters, and the performance of all activities related to this position. Key responsibilities include: •Operating a data entry device to record and/or verify a variety of standard and complex coded or un-coded business data into the Company’s ServiceWorks and MapIt system; •Identifying and resolving data errors; •Interfacing with customers to confirm appointments for service calls; •Maintaining procedural lists, control records and processes/practices relating to the data and information; •Insuring compliance with establish internal control policies and procedures; •Working with the accounting function to reconcile issues with work order billings. Base Qualifications: The Service Call Appointment Setter must have the following qualifications: •2+ years of recent experience in a position comparable to this position; •Keyboard key entry skills of 50-60 words per minute; •Excellent communication skills (both written and oral); •Knowledge of computer systems (e.g. ServiceWorks) for tracking services-type work orders; •High school diploma required. Nice-to-haves: •Independent worker with confidence to work in a small business environment; •Proven ability to perform the range of activities defined for this position; •Good basic knowledge of PC application software, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Personal Qualities: •Exceptionally high level of integrity, trustworthiness and honesty; •Ability to interact with people at all business levels, and the general public; •Capable of working with minimal direction and guidance.
